Millicent, Community Development and Engagement Assistant
Millicent Wenlock is a dedicated advocate for care-experienced individuals, with a strong background in community development, inclusion, and policy reform. Since 2023, she has worked extensively to support care-experienced and estranged students, notably as the voluntary Chair of The Care Experienced Movement, where she co-led strategic initiatives that increased outreach with The Care Leavers Covenant and championed policy reforms with policy makers such as Josh MacAlister to improve their quality of life. Her role as Community Relations Specialist and Founder of the All of Us Employment Group at the Unite Foundation, which supports over 1100 care experienced and estranged students and recent graduates further demonstrated her commitment to reducing isolation, fostering peer connections, and advocating for inclusive policies in higher education.
Millicent’s passion stems from her firsthand understanding of systemic barriers and her drive to level the playing field. Through mentorship, advocacy, and innovative programs, she empowers care-experienced individuals to thrive academically and professionally.
